Kids Teaching Kids Week is just a few weeks away!

Kids Teaching Kids week gives young students the chance to come up with their own solutions to complex environmental problems. They will also exercise their artistic muscles to convey their thoughts on the environment through music, dance, comedy, plays and just about any other method they can think of.

This year, the MDBA is sponsoring five Murray-Darling Basin schools to host events. These schools are developing activities for students from at least 25 schools within the Basin. The activities will promote an understanding of not only local environmental issues but also the important role local communities play in addressing these issues.

Kids Teaching Kids Week is just one part of the broader Kids Teaching Kids program. Kids Teaching Kids uses a school-based learning model and a program of events to encourage students to learn about and be more involved in caring for the environment.

Kids Teaching Kids Week takes place from 27 to 31 August. You can follow Kids Teaching Kids on Twitter or find them on Facebook. While you’re add it, add us too (if you haven’t already)! Our details are in the Follow Us section at the bottom of the page.
