Fish assemblage structure, movement and recruitment in the Coorong and Lower Lakes

This 2014–15 report investigates the effects of freshwater inflows and connectivity between the Lower Lakes and Coorong on fish assemblage, structure and migration and diadromous fish recruitment.

The monitoring found that freshwater discharge and connectivity between the Lower Lakes and Coorong are essential to support diadromous, estuarine and estuarine-dependent fish populations and maintain the dynamism of estuarine fish communities.
