Bank erosion along the River Murray between Hume Dam and the Ovens Junction

This report summarises some of the results of the bank erosion monitoring program on the River Murray between 2009 and 2016. It focuses on areas that are being impacted by high boating activity, in particular the reach south of Corowa to the Ovens Junction. The findings from this report suggest that bank erosion is increasing in this reach and that it is particularly apparent in areas where there is increased vessel wash due to wake enhancing activities.
